I wanted to try my hand on iPhone development. That can only be done on a Mac. So, I installed it on my AMD Athlon x2 computer. I tried many distros, retail EmpireEFI, iDeneb, Hazard. These are supposed to support AMD x86 architecture, but they don’t.

MAC Snow Leopard OSX8664 For INTEL/AMD 32/64 MBR/GUID keygen8110 Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 Intel AMD made by Hazard. How to install Mac OS X Snow Leopard in VirtualBox (Windows or Linux host). Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 Intel AMD made by Hazard. Jan 22, 2012 The three most popular Snow Leopard distros are: Hazard, iAtkos, and SnowLeoDVD. Distros are available as ISO files (disc image files). Once you've obtained a copy of a distro, burn the ISO file onto a DVD with ImgBurn, or with the built-in Windows 7 disc burning tool. From there, the installation process is relatively straightforward. FYI, Snow Leopard 10.6.2 (x86-modified Hazard distro) under VirtualBox 3.2.8 (no OS X Guest Additions supported) seems to be an order of magnitude slower than VMware Snow Leopard 10.6.2 Retail with VMware Tools (torrent: “Mac OS X 10.6.2 Virtual Machine for VMware”). Core 2 Quad, Raptor RAID 0, Windows 7 host, 2GB guest RAM.
The only distro that actually supports AMD is “SNOWLEO MAC Snow Leopard OSX86_64” iso.
Yeah, it’s 10.6 but don’t worry we’ll upgrade it to 10.6.6.

Note: SATA hard drive is a must.
1) Download Snowleo’s iso. Burn it using ImgBurn.
2) You’ll have to move the DVD drive to a higher priority. This can be done in the BIOS (Press Delete as soon as the computer boots up). Also, set the SATA Hard Drive to AHCI mode.
3) Insert your disc and restart. Your disc should boot up.
4) Now, you’ll have to install your Mac distro in an OSX journal’ed partition. To do that, Go to Utilities –> Disk Utilities. Select a partition other than your Windows 7 partition. Erase it (Obviously, Data in it will be washed away).
Format it to “OSX journaled”. Not the case sensitive one.
5) After that, go back to the setup. Click on the Hard drive. Don’t press “next”. Yet.
6) Click on “Customize”. Make sure these are checked.
These are the settings that worked for my 785g AMD hardware (mostly will work for you as well, unless you have extra addon cards). If they don’t try other combinations. Googling might help.
1. Mac OSX 10.6 (Obviously)
2. Use the Azaila audio
3. ATi_init (If you have an nVidia video card, try nVidia)
4. Chamelion RC5
5. AMD Patch
6. Chocolate Kernel
7. FakeSMC
8. Platform UUID
9. Apple driver for the rt8169 (LAN)
10. legacy apple piixata

Leave everything as it is.
7) Click on Next. The installation should be completed in a few minutes.
8) Reboot and you should be booting into Mac OSX. You ask me, where’s your Windows 7?
Rebuilding the Windows 7 MBR (Master Boot Record)
1) Now, boot with your Windows 7 Installation disc.

Hazard Snow Leopard
3) Click on “Repair Boot Problems” or
If you are a little bit geeky, Click on “Command Prompt”

Dual booting in Harmony
1) Install a Nice program called EasyBCD on your Windows Installation.

2) Click on “Add New Entry”. Choose the “Mac” tab and select the MBR mode.
Now, you’ll have a perfectly functional Dual boot Windows 7 + Mac OS X 10.6 system.
Upgrading to 10.6.6 or 10.6.7
1) Install the 10.6.6 or 10.6.7 combo update either by Googling or Click on the “About this Mac” icon.
2) Don’t restart. Go to http://nawcom.com/osx86/files/10.6/Kernels/
Here install the 10.6.0 legacy kernel if you have updated to 10.6.6 or
if you have installed the 10.6.7 update, installed 10.7.0 legacy kernel.
3) If you want a better update, similar instructions should follow.
Last Saturday I was successful in installing Snow Leopard on Sony Vaio with Core i3 Processor. I have tried many distro’s in past 2 years and I can tell you it is not easy to install on any given PC.
Here is my notes of the installation.
Issue #1: Continuous Reboot
You need to add the bootflag called busratio, in my case it was busratio=16. And here is the link to get busratio for most of Intel Core i processor.
Issue #2: Freezes at “Do You Already Own a Mac” screen
I don’t know why it freezes but the solution is, you need to skip the registration process and please follow the steps to skip.
- Reboot your system
- Boot into single user mode by providing the boot flag -v -s busratio=16
- Once you are in the terminal (single user mode), mount the / with R/W permission by executing the commands
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
(Note: Do not forget to type / (slash) I skip it most of the time :-) - Skip the Registration by executing the following command
touch /private/var/db/.AppleSetupDone
Hazard Snow Leopard Amd Install Guide 2017
This should skip the Setup process, but it also skips the user registration, so you don’t have an account to login when it reboots.
You can create a new user with commands (link) alternatively, you can reset the password for the user root and use it to create a new user once login. Execute the following command to reset the password in single user mode.
- launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.DirectoryServices.plist
- passwd root
that’s pretty much it. Now you should be able to login to Snow Leopard.
P.S:
Network, Sound, USB wasn’t working. Moreover all Snow Leopard distro’s have a peculiar issue in common, that you can’t able to take screen shot (Command + Shift + 3) doesn’t capture the screen. This exists in SnowLeo, SnowLeo Universal 3.6 iPortable Snowleo distro’s as well.

I have also tried to take screenshot from Preview app, it crashes and logs an issue related to coregraphics framework. My colleague told me that he was able to install iPhone SDK 3.1.3 for snow leopard on the same successfully.
